His Excellency UNG Eang was appointed as Secretary of State of Ministry of Mines and Energy on 06 September 2018 in charge of Nuclear Science and Technology Department of General Department of Energy, and Oil Research Department of General Department of Petroleum. He is also a Vice President of Secretariat of National Counter-terrorism Committee. He served as government official, assistant to Senior Minister, Member and Vice
President at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prime Minister Cabinet, Council of Ministers, Cambodian Human Rights Committee, and Secretariat of National Counter-Terrorism Committee respectively. He is a Chief of Cambodia Mega Port Initiative Working Group, and work with EU-JRC, US DoE, and IAEA ... in Nuclear and Radioactive Security since 2009. He also serves as a Deputy Chief of Cambodia National CBRN Team Working Group.
His Excellency UNG Eang gained Master Degree in International Development Studies from National Graduate Institute For Policies Studies, Japan in 2003.
